My Everyday Carry: 6 Tech Essentials That Power My Day

Everyone’s got an everyday carry — the gear that earns a permanent spot in your bag, pockets, or car.

Mine’s built for a mix of work, workouts, travel, and a bit of fun tech I just can’t quit.

Here’s what makes the cut 👇

📱 Samsung Z Fold 7 — My Productivity Powerhouse

A foldable phone-tablet hybrid for multitasking, reading, and on-the-go editing.

How I pair it: My main device for day-to-day — content consumption, social media, messaging, email, everything.

Top 3 reasons it’s in my EDC:

  • Tablet-size productivity in my pocket

  • Multitasking without juggling devices

  • Way more fun to use than a slab phone

🍏 iPhone 16 Pro — My Flagship Driver

Apple’s current flagship, mostly for fitness.

How I pair it: I dual-carry Android & iPhone (though I’m considering dropping iPhone). Always with the MagBak Elite case — it sticks like glue to anything metal.

Top 3 reasons it’s in my EDC:

  • Connected to all my fitness tech (Whoop, Garmin, Ultrahuman Rings)

  • Apple ecosystem is still unmatched

  • (And, yes… habit)

🎧 PowerBeats Pro 2 — Gym-Focused Headphones

Wireless in-ear headphones built for intense workouts and long sessions.

How I pair it: Lives in my gym bag, connects instantly to iPhone or Fold. Perfect for playlists and calls mid-training.

Top 3 reasons it’s in my EDC:

  • Won’t fall out mid-sprint

  • Sweat-proof with great battery life

  • Crisp sound for both music and calls

🎶 Nothing Headphones (1) — Travel/Flying Headphones

Over-ear headphones with noise cancellation and all-day comfort.

How I pair it: My go-to on long journeys. Fun design, great sound, great battery life.

Top 3 reasons it’s in my EDC:

  • Super fun design

  • Great battery life

  • Strong sound & noise cancellation

🕶️ Oakley Meta AI Sunglasses — Futuristic Hands-Free Device

Smart sunglasses with voice control, AI access, and built-in audio.

How I pair it: Links to my Z Fold 7 and lets me use a ton of features without pulling out my phone.

Top 3 reasons it’s in my EDC:

  • Reply to messages hands-free

  • Take great photos & videos without a phone

  • AI features are surprisingly useful (like translating menus)

⌚ Fitness Tech Stack

Garmin Fenix 8, Whoop MG (bicep band), Ultrahuman Ring, Galaxy Ring (yes, I wear them all).

How I pair it: Always on me — helps track workouts, recovery, and health metrics across platforms.

Top 3 reasons it’s in my EDC:

  • I love tracking fitness stats

  • Cross-platform compatibility is essential

  • Helps me stay accountable, whatever device I’m on

👉 That’s my stack. What’s in your everyday carry? Drop it in the comments:

Didn’t Make the Cut

Some gear didn’t survive my EDC purge 👇

  • AirPods Pro & Beats Fit Pro — Both retired. PowerBeats Pro 2 just holds up better in the gym — no slipping mid-sprint.

  • Ray-Ban Sunglasses — Swapped for Oakley Meta AI. Same vibe, but with built-in camera and hands-free features I actually use.

  • Apple Watch Ultra — I’ve been rocking Garmin for over a year now, and honestly, I don’t miss it. Might pick one up again just for a video to see what it’s like going back.

📱 A Day With My EDC

Gear is half the story.

The other half? The apps that turn devices into essentials.

Here’s how it all fits into my day 👇

☀️ Morning Check-In

Neutonic in one hand, Galaxy Ring on the other.

I scroll socials and clear the inbox on the Z Fold 7. The Whoop app doubles as my “Did I / Didn’t I” journal, while Garmin Connect sets the tone with a readiness score.

Sometimes I cross-check sleep data with the Ultrahuman and Galaxy Ring just to see who’s right.

Gear + Apps:

🏋️‍♂️ Gym Session

Before touching a weight, I pop in the PowerBeats Pro 2 and fire up Apple Music. Strava logs the workout, Garmin Connect syncs it, and the Nothing Headphones (1) stay in my bag for longer trips.

Gear + Apps:

💻 Work Mode

Two phones, one reality: the Samsung Z Fold 7 does everything; the iPhone 16 Pro just hangs on for fitness data (re-pairing gear every week is not it).

My workflow runs through Monday.com for planning, and Gemini steps in when I need to turn analytics into action.

Gear + Apps:

🚇 On the Move

Commutes and travel are about frictionless switching.

Oakley Meta AI Sunglasses handle voice prompts and quick replies. Nothing Headphones (1) keep me company with Pocket Casts, and the glasses are perfect for hands-free snapshots.

Gear + Apps:

🌙 Wind Down

I’m a night owl, so evenings usually end with Battlefield 6 Beta on the gaming PC.

I’ll also check the Vitality health insurance app to see if I’ve maxed out my weekly points — those freebies and discounts add up fast.

Gear + Apps:

🎬 After Show: What Happened When the Cameras Stopped Rolling

After filming this week’s Pixel 10 Pro - First 17 Things to Do (Tips and Tricks) show, I hit record again to share the raw, unfiltered take:

  • The Pixel Fold’s long-overdue IP rating (and why I’ve been testing foldables in sand for years).

  • The harsh truth about Pixel’s launch cycle — and why iPhone + Samsung steal the spotlight.

  • A behind-the-scenes look at Google’s fading Team Pixel program.

It’s raw. Unpolished. And probably something I shouldn’t have said out loud (don’t tell anyone 😉).

Got a friend who’d get this? Hit forward:

🤖 Next Week: How I Use AI in My Business

AI isn’t just hype — I’ve been using it daily to run and grow my business. Next week, I’ll break down exactly how I do it (with examples you can steal).

I’ll be covering:

  • How I use AI to analyze company finances (without getting lost in spreadsheets)

  • The way I pull insights from YouTube analytics in minutes, not hours

  • My favorite “underrated” AI trick that saves me from decision fatigue

📅 See you next Thursday.
