Hey,
We sign up for subscriptions to make life easier — then suddenly realize we’re renting half the internet.
So this week, I did a quick audit to see what’s actually worth it… and what’s quietly draining my wallet.
Here’s what’s inside:
• 💎 The few apps that genuinely earn their keep
• ⚙️ The sneaky “nice to haves” I might defend anyway
• 💸 And the guilty charges I can’t explain (but still haven’t cancelled)
Let’s dive in👇

💸 My Subscription Hall of Fame (and a Few That Belong in the Bin)
Let’s talk subscriptions — those tiny monthly charges that somehow add up to a small mortgage.
I went through mine this week and found a few essentials… and a few freeloaders still hanging on.
Here’s the full breakdown 👇
💎 Worth Every Penny
🎧 Apple Music
Daily soundtrack, family plan, smooth syncing — and I still say I’ll try Spotify one day.
🌦️ CARROT Weather
A sarcastic weather app that roasts me for existing but somehow keeps me checking the forecast hourly.
Hands-down the best flight tracker on the planet. The real-time notifications alone are worth the yearly fee.
🏋️ Hevy
My gym app of choice. Tracks everything, syncs with Apple Health, and reminds me I should really stop skipping leg day.
🧮 MacroFactor
Nutrition tracking for people who hate nutrition tracking. Clean design, no guilt trips, just data that actually helps.
⚙️ Nice to Have
Because the native Apple calendar just isn’t it. Multiple views, slick design, and yes — it makes me feel more organized than I actually am.
It’s not exciting, but it’s peace of mind. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, this is the one to keep.
🔥 TimeShifter
For anyone who travels across time zones — this app tells you when to sleep, caffeinate, and see the light. Literally.
🏡 Tado
Smart heating system that lets me tweak the thermostat from my phone. Slightly overkill, but it scratches that “tech comfort” itch.
🎮 PlayStation Plus
Still hanging around from my gaming days. Haven’t used it in months, but can’t quite let it go.
💸 Probably Should Cancel
📚 Audible
Great app, but my library backlog is now over 30 books deep. That’s not productivity — that’s debt.
🛒 Amazon Prime
Convenient, yes. Necessary? Probably not. But the next-day delivery hits like dopamine.
📺 Netflix & Disney+
The eternal duo: great for plane rides, questionable for productivity.
🦉 Duolingo (RIP)
Finally cancelled. The owl’s passive-aggressive “we miss you” notifications were too much.
💬 Your Turn: The Hall of Shame
We’ve all got that one subscription we can’t seem to cancel.
Which one deserves a spot in your Hall of Shame?
